- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Inappropriate and aggressive handling of animals. While I was there, they seem rough with the animals, and even is displayed through the pictures on their website. You should not hold a 9 month old cat by the neck for a picture, the cats were sweet towards the people coming in to see them so they obviously aren't aggressive. They seem upset aswell. The rooms are very cold with hard flooring and few beds/blankets. The dogs never have any toys, blankets, and it's even more cold during the winter. Not everybody is like that there but for the most part, they act like they don't care. There's very little money put into the shelter and it's pathetic that Cabot doesn't allow more funding for the shelter but they do for a new sports complex and a water park.By MADISON PETTY, October 04, 2016
